Google Wins uTest Bug Battle

Google employees have been given yet another reason to pat themselves on the back. uTest asked a rather large group of people to evaluate it, Bing, and Yahoo, and the Mountain View-based search giant came out on top by a significant margin.
In fact, uTest talked to more than 1,100 individuals in over 50 countries, and reported afterward that about 90 percent of respondents picked Google as their favorite search engine.
Its victory was apparently sealed because, in terms of accuracy, "Google led the way with a top two box score (those rating it as 'excellent' or 'good') of 90% . . . . Yahoo and Bing trailed with 53% and 42%, respectively." And considering that the competition was called the uTest Bug Battle, it may be important to note that testers found few malfunctions, too.
Still, there was some positive news in the report for Microsoft, which impressed us today with the new Bing Visual Search feature. "10% of survey respondents said that after testing all three, they would now make Bing their default search engine, and more than 30% noted that Bing surprised them favorably," according to uTest.
